Self Employed in Spain
Being Self Employed in any country can be a step up from working cash in hand on a casual basis or astep up the food chain whereby one can start to invoice bigger clients and comapnies. For others its the big 'go it alone' step, breaking away from from the restrictions of a regular job and starting to do things the way their ex-boss could never understand.
Either way, the starting of a small sole-trader enterprise brings many legal and fiscal responsibilities. We offer to fulfil the following for a fixed monthly fee:
- Initial assesment and registration/alta if required
- Monthly book keeping with feedback
- Monthly social security payments
- Quarterly IVA / VAT returns
- Quarterly retention declarations
- Annual tax returns/renta
- From 70€ + IVA per month
Currently Unemployed In Spain?
If you (or your boss) has been paying social security for at least 12 months and have ended up unemployed under the correct circumstances, you may be entitled to unempoyment benefit / the 'paro', here in Spain. Contact the office of the INEM which corresponds to the post code / codigo postal for where you are registered as living for more information.
Make sure you ask the INEM about the scheme to transfer unemployment rights and benefits accrued in other European countries to Spain for claiming via the Spanish 'paro' system incase it could apply to you!
On The 'Paro' And Want To Become Self-Employed?
If you are currently claiming unemployment benefit, the 'paro', the INEM offers a great incentive where they allow you to 'cash in' monies which would have been paid to you over time in benefits, in order to help finance your new business venture as a self employed person.
If the INEM says you are eligible and the money they say is available makes you decide to do this 'capitalización del paro', we are available to prepare the paperwork, the business plan and assist in the process.
